How do I export my Fitbit account data?

To export your Fitbit account data, go to the dashboard:
  1. Click the gear icon (User-added image).
  2. Click Settings > Data Export and follow the on-screen instructions.
You will receive an email asking you to confirm your data export request. After you confirm and your export completes, you’ll receive another email with a link to download your Fitbit account data. Download the data to your computer and explore the files.
*Once you confirm your data export request, it can take some time to compile your data for export. You can check the status of your request in your Data Export account settings.
*If you deleted your Fitbit account, your account data will not be available for export.
*If you received a data export email from us and did not make the request, be sure to change your password.

What Fitbit data can I export?

The following table details the type of Fitbit data you can export, and examples of that data.

How do I export my Fitbit GPS data?

You can export GPS data to a Training Center XML (TCX) file. TCX files display GPS data as activities and track heart rate, calories, and other data. You can upload TCX files to applications including Strava and Google Earth.

To export GPS data:
  1. From your dashboard, click Log > Activities, or go directly to
  2. In your Activity History, find the activity with GPS data that you want to export and click the View Details button.
  3. Click the three dots and choose Export as TCX file. The file is in your Downloads folder.
