How do I delete steps and floors?

It's not possible to delete steps and floors, but you can achieve the same result by negating them:

  1. Log into your fitbit.com dashboard.
  2. At the top of the screen click Log.
  3. Click the Activities tab.
  4. Under Log Activities, type in Driving and enter the date, duration, and start time.
  5. Click Log. Your steps, floors, and calories burned will decrease for the time period you specified.

How do I delete personal data from my Fitbit device?

Fitbit uses your height, weight, gender, and age as factors when calculating your estimates for stride length, calorie burn, active minutes, and more.

To delete your personal data from your device, add it as a new device using a different Fitbit account. When the tracker recognizes that it has been paired to a new account, all of the data stored on the device is permanently deleted. How do I delete my greeting?

For instructions on how to delete a greeting, choose a section below:
  • Fitbit App for iOS and Android
    1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon (User-added image)
    2. Tap the device.
    3. Tap Greeting.
    4. Delete the text in the greeting field. The greeting will disappear from your device the next time you sync.
  • Fitbit.com Dashboard
    1. Log into your fitbit.com dashboard.
    2. Click the gear icon (User-added image). 
    3. Click your device. The Settings page opens.
    4. In the Display settings, turn off the Greeting. The greeting will disappear from your device the next time you sync.

How do I delete my weight logs?

For instructions on how to delete weight logs, choose a section below:
  • Fitbit App for iOS
    1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon (User-added image).
    2. Tap the image of your scale
    3. Tap Recent Weigh-Ins.
    4. Swipe left on the log you want to delete, then tap Delete.
  • Fitbit App for Android
    1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon (User-added image).
    2. Tap the image of your scale.
    3. Tap Recent Weigh-Ins.
    4. Tap the log you want to delete.
    5. Tap the trash can icon.
  • Fitbit App for Windows
    1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon (User-added image).
    2. Tap or click the image of your scale.
    3. Tap or click Recent Weigh-Ins.
    4. Tap or click the log you want to delete.
    5. Tap or click Delete This Weigh-In.
  • Fitbit.com Dashboard
    1. Log into your fitbit.com dashboard.
    2. Click Log.
    3. Click the Weight tab.
    4. Scroll down to the Measurement History section and click the "X" next to the weight that you want to remove.
