How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

If you forgot to wear your Fitbit device or you want to record an activity that isn't detected automatically, manually log the exercise in the Fitbit app.

- Tap the Today tab

- On the Exercise tile
, tap the + icon
Log.
- Tap a recent activity, or search for an exercise type.
- Enter the activity details, and tap Add.

- Tap the Today tab

- On the Exercise tile
, tap the + icon
Log Previous.
- Tap a recent activity, or search for an exercise type.
- Enter the activity details, and tap Log It.

- From the fitbit.com dashboard, click Log
Activities.
- Click a common activity, or search for an exercise type.
- Enter the activity details, and click Log.

Edit or delete activities in your exercise history in the Fitbit app. Depending on the exercise, you can choose to edit the type of exercise, start and end times, distance covered, and calories burned. Note that you can only edit activities in the Fitbit app.

- Tap the Today tab
, then tap the Exercise tile

- Tap the exercise you want to edit or delete.
- Tap the 3 dots and choose to edit or delete the exercise. To edit the type of exercise (for example, to change a walk to a hike), tap Categorize Exercise and choose a different exercise type.

- Tap the exercise you want to edit or delete.
- To delete the exercise, tap the trash icon. To edit the exercise, tap the pencil icon. To edit the type of exercise (for example, to change a walk to a hike), choose a different exercise type and tap Log It

- From the fitbit.com dashboard, click the Log tab.
- Click Activities.
- Hover your cursor over the activity you want to delete, and click the trash icon.

- Tap the Today tab
Zone Minutes icon

- Tap the gear icon in the top right
Delete Active Zone Minutes.
- Choose the time period you want to delete Active Zone Minutes from, and confirm your changes.

You can’t delete steps and floors; instead, log a non-step-based activity such as driving to override the steps or floors:

- Tap the Today tab

- On the Exercise tile
, tap the + icon
Log or Log Previous.
- Choose Driving as the exercise type. Make sure the exercise details overlap with the time period your device logged the unwanted steps or floors.
- Tap Add or Log it. Your steps, floors, and calories burned will decrease for the time period you specified.

- Under Log Activities, choose Driving as the exercise type. Make sure the exercise details overlap with the time period your device logged the unwanted steps or floors.
- Click Log. Your steps, floors, and calories burned will decrease for the time period you specified.

To edit a sleep log:
- Tap the Today tab

- Tap the sleep log you want to edit.
- Tap the three dots and find the option to edit (on Android phones, tap the pencil icon in the top right).
- Adjust the time you went to sleep or the time you woke up, and save.
Note that for devices that receive sleep stages, if you extend your time asleep, you may notice gaps at the beginning or end of your sleep stages.
To delete a sleep log:
- Tap the Today tab

- Swipe left on the log you want to erase and tap Delete.

- Visit the Manage your Fitbit Data page in your web browser.
- In the Snore & Noise Detect section, select the date range of the data you want to delete
Delete.

Note: If you weigh-in with a Fitbit scale, the Fitbit app records your weight. For Fitbit Aria Air, have the Fitbit app open on your nearby phone when you step on the scale, and save your weight log when prompted. For more information on setting up your scale, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?
To manually log weight:

- Tap the Today tab

- Tap the + icon at the top.
- Enter your weight and tap Save.

- From the fitbit.com dashboard, click the Log tab
Weight.
- Scroll to find the Log Weight section, and enter your weight.
- Click Log Weight.

- Swipe up from the clock face on your watch to access Fitbit Today.
- Find the weight tile, and tap the + icon. If you don't see the weight tile, tap Settings
Weight to add the tile to Fitbit Today.
- Tap the check mark icon to log your weight.

- Swipe up from the clock face on your watch to access your widgets.
- Find the weight widget, and tap it. If you don't see the weight widget, tap Manage
Fitbit Logging
Weight to add the widget.
- Tap Log.
- Use the - and + icons to adjust your weight, and then tap Save.
To change or delete weight logs:

- Tap the Today tab
, then tap the Weight tile.
- To delete a weight log, swipe left on it, then tap Delete. To adjust a weight log, tap the log you want to edit and make your changes.

- Tap the Today tab

- To delete a weight log, tap it, then tap the trash icon. To adjust a weight log, tap the log you want to edit and make your changes.

- From the fitbit.com dashboard, click the Log tab

- Find the weight log you want to edit. Click the trash icon to delete it, or click the pencil icon to change it.
- Click Confirm or Save.
To reassign a weight log:

- Tap the Today tab

- Tap Recent Weigh-Ins.
- Tap the weigh-in you want to reassign.
- Reassign the weigh-in to the correct person.

- From the fitbit.com dashboard, click the gear icon
your scale.
- On the Measurements tab, find the weigh-in you want to reassign.
- In the Person column, select the person you want to reassign the weigh-in to.

Track your water intake in the Fitbit app. On Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Versa series, log your water intake on your wrist.
To log water intake:

- Tap the Today tab
.
- On the Water tile, tap the + icon.
- Enter the amount of water you drank, then tap Save.

- From the fitbit.com dashboard, click the Log tab
Food.
- Scroll to find the water section at the bottom of the page, and enter the amount of water you drank.
- Click Log it.

- Swipe up from the clock face to see Fitbit Today.
- Locate the water tile. You may have to swipe up to find it. If you don’t see the water tile, tap Settings at the bottom of Fitbit Today, and turn on the water tile.
- Tap the + icon on the water tile, and enter the amount of water you drank.
- Tap the check mark.

- Swipe up from the clock face on your watch to access your widgets.
- Find the water widget, and tap it. If you don't see the water widget, tap Manage
Fitbit Logging
Water to add the widget.
- Tap Log.
- Use the - and + icons to adjust the amount of water you drank, and then tap Save.
To edit or delete water logs:

- Tap the Today tab
, then tap the water tile.
- Tap the day with the water log you want to delete.
- Under Log History, tap the water log you want to delete.
- To edit the water log, make your changes and tap the arrow in the top left. To delete the water log, tap the 3 dots in the top right
Delete (on Android phones and Windows 10 devices, tap the trash icon and confirm).

- From the fitbit.com dashboard, click the Log tab
Food.
- Scroll to find the water section at the bottom of the page.
- In the Logged section, hover your cursor over the water log you want to delete and click the x icon.
