Why isn't my scale turning on?

If your scale doesn't turn on when you stand on it, you may need to replace the batteries. For troubleshooting instructions, choose a section below:
  • Fitbit App
    1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon (User-added image).
    2. Check the battery icon next to the name of your scale. The battery level is accurate as of the last sync.
    3. If the batteries appear to be drained, replace them with fresh AA batteries.
    4. If the batteries don't appear to be drained, take them out for at least 10 seconds and reinsert them.
  • Fitbit.com Dashboard
    1. Log in to your Fitbit dashboard.
    2. Click the gear icon (User-added image) and check the battery level of your scale. The battery level is accurate as of the last sync.
    3. If the batteries appear to be drained, replace them with fresh AA batteries.
    4. If the batteries don't appear to be drained, take them out for at least 10 seconds and reinsert them.
If you replaced your scale's batteries less than 6 months ago and they're already drained, or if the troubleshooting steps don't resolve the issue, contact Customer Support.
