Exercise goals in the Fitbit app help you track your weekly workout routine and stay motivated. For exercise recommendations, see the American Heart Association’s article.

What is my exercise goal?

The American Heart Association recommends at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity at least 5 days per week. Your Fitbit exercise goal represents the number of days per week you want to exercise. By default, your goal is 5 days per week. Any exercise captured in your exercise history counts towards your goal.

How do I change my exercise goal?

For instructions, see How do I track my health and fitness goals with the Fitbit app? Note the following:

  • You can change your goal to a different number of days, but you must have a minimum goal of one day.
  • You can change your goal for current and future weeks, but you can’t adjust it for past weeks.
  • You can only modify exercise goals in the Fitbit app.

 How do I see my goal progress?

In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab User-added image , then tap the exercise tile User-added image.  At the top, check your goal progress for the current week, or swipe to view exercise trends. Tap an exercise to see more details about it.
