Is my device compatible with the FitStar Yoga app?

The FitStar Yoga app is available on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running iOS 9 or later. A constant internet connection is required to stream the sessions. We recommend using Wi-Fi instead of your cellular data. For optimal performance, make sure your device has at least 1GB of free space available.

Is the FitStar Yoga app free?

You can download the FitStar Yoga app from the Apple App Store free of charge. Basic (free) members receive access to 1 personalized yoga session each week as well as a selection of Freestyle yoga sessions. You must have a FitStar Yoga Premium subscription to unlock unlimited sessions and additional features. Do I need a Fitbit account or device to use FitStar Yoga?

You don’t need a Fitbit account or device to use FitStar Yoga. When you open the FitStar Yoga app for the first time, you can create a new account or use an existing Fitbit or Facebook profile to log in.

How do I get started with FitStar Yoga?

Download the FitStar Yoga app from the Apple App Store and start the Yoga Intro session. The session is matched to your experience level and guides you through a series of poses. At the end of the session, rate the difficulty of the poses.

After completing the Yoga Intro session, you receive a personalized session tailored to your fitness level and ability based on the feedback you provided. Basic members receive 1 personalized session each week while Premium members receive unlimited sessions.

Freestyle sessions are standalone sessions built around a central theme, designed to supplement your personalized sessions. Freestyle sessions don’t adapt to feedback, so they may be too easy or difficult depending on your experience level. To access freestyle sessions, tap the menu icon (User-added image) > Freestyle. Premium members have access to all freestyle sessions while Basic members can access the freestyle sessions marked “Free.”

How do I personalize my sessions?

During a session, tap the screen at any time to rate the difficulty of the pose. At the end of the session, you have another chance to rate all the poses and give the session an overall rating out of 5 stars. FitStar Yoga tailors the difficulty and intensity of future sessions based on your feedback.

FitStar Yoga Premium members can customize the length and intensity of personalized sessions. Tap the gear icon (User-added image) from the session preview screen > Customize Session. You can’t adjust freestyle sessions.

How can I stream FitStar Yoga sessions to my TV?

Use AirPlay or AirPlay Mirroring to stream content to your Apple TV or other AirPlay-enabled device. To learn more, see Apple’s help article.

How do I change the music or audio during a session?

Customize the music and coaching volume for your sessions. To change the music, tap the gear icon (User-added image) from the session preview screen > Audio. Use the tabs at the top to choose an alternate music source.

To change the volume of the coaching tips, tap the gear icon (User-added image) from the session preview screen > Audio > Coaching Tips Volume. Adjusting the volume of the coaching tips adjusts the volume at which you hear the trainer over the music, not the overall volume output from your device.

What is a FitStar Yoga Premium subscription?

Members with a FitStar Yoga Premium subscription receive unlimited personalized yoga sessions and have access to the full library of Freestyle sessions. A Premium subscription also unlocks HD video and the ability to customize the length and intensity of personalized sessions. You can purchase a FitStar Yoga Premium subscription from the app or from https://coach.fitbit.com/settings.

    Tap the menu icon (User-added image) > Go Premium and follow the on-screen instructions to purchase a Premium subscription.

    1. Log in to your account at https://coach.fitbit.com/.
    2. Click your name in the navigation bar at the top of the screen.
    3. Click Settings.
    4. Scroll down to Subscriptions and Payments.
    5. Click Go Premium in the Yoga box and follow the on-screen instructions.
    If you purchased a FitStar Yoga Premium subscription and it hasn’t shown up yet, make sure you’re logged into the same account you used to purchase your subscription. If 8 hours have passed since you purchased your subscription, contact Customer Support.

How do I turn on HD videos?

After purchasing a Premium subscription, turn on HD videos in the app by tapping the menu icon (User-added image) > Personal Settings > Video Quality. For more information on customizing the length and intensity of sessions, see How do I personalize my sessions?

How do I manage my FitStar Yoga Premium subscription?

Change, cancel, or otherwise manage your FitStar Yoga Premium where you bought it.
  • FitStar Yoga App
    To see how much time you have remaining in your subscription, tap the menu icon (User-added image) > Settings > Plans.

    To cancel your subscription, refer to Apple’s help article.
  • Fitbit Website
    1. Log in to your account at https://coach.fitbit.com/.
    2. Click your name in the navigation bar at the top of the screen.
    3. Click Settings.
    4. Scroll down to Subscriptions and Payments.
    To cancel your subscription or switch between a monthly and yearly subscription, click Edit or the iTunes logo and follow the on-screen instructions. If the top of the section is orange, your subscription is already canceled. Your access to Premium features continues through the end of the payment period. After the subscription expires, you can continue to use FitStar Yoga as a Basic member.

Why isn’t my FitStar Yoga app working?

If you can’t hear sound while a yoga session is playing, try the following steps:

  1. Increase the volume by pressing the volume up button on the side of your device.
  2. If your device has a mute switch, check that it has not been switched on. If you plug in headphones to your device and hear sound through them, your mute switch is likely on. Unplug your headphones and turn off the mute switch to allow the sound to play through your device’s speakers.

If you’re having trouble playing a yoga session, try the following steps:

  1. Verify that your device has a strong internet connection.
  2. Force quit and restart FitStar Yoga. If you’re unsure how to force quit an app, see Apple’s help article.
  3. Check the Updates tab in the App Store to see if the FitStar Yoga app has a pending update.
  4. Uninstall and reinstall the app. To learn how to uninstall an app, see Apple’s help article. To reinstall the app, find it in the App Store and tap the download button.
  5. If your problem persists, contact Customer Support.
