How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

Customize your Fitbit device by choosing a different clock face.

Fitbit Ace, Fitbit Alta, and Fitbit Alta HR offer several vertical and horizontal designs for the clock screen. To see your options, open the Fitbit app and tap or click the Account icon (User-added image) > your device image > Clock Face (Clock Display on Android). If you change the clock face, sync your tracker to see the change.

Note that if you use a vertical clock orientation your numbers may be truncated.

Fitbit Blaze offers several designs for the clock. To see your options, open the Fitbit app and tap or click the Account icon (User-added image > Blaze > Clock Face (Clock Display on Android). If you change the clock face, sync your Blaze to see the change.

Note that if you see an error screen after changing the clock, restart your Blaze and try updating the clock again. For instructions, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Fitbit Charge 2 and Fitbit Charge 3 offer several designs for the clock screen. To see your options, open the Fitbit app and tap or click the Account icon (User-added image) > Your device image > Clock Face (Clock Display on Android). If you change the clock face, sync your tracker to see the change.

Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Versa offer many different clock face designs. To view the gallery, open the Fitbit app and tap the Account icon (User-added image) > your device image > Clock Faces > All Clocks tab. Tap a clock face to see a detailed view. After you find a clock face you want to use, tap Select.

Some clock faces have different color themes or other settings. To adjust the settings of a clock face, tap the installed clock face > Settings.

Many clock faces also require access to certain stats or other information. Note that turning off any of these permissions might cause the clock face to stop functioning. To adjust what a clock face has access to, tap the installed clock face > See all details > Permissions.

Note that to update the clock face on your watch, you can’t have more than 38 apps installed.

Fitbit Surge offers several designs for the clock screen. To see your options, open the Fitbit app and tap or click the Account icon (User-added image> Surge > Clock Face (Clock Display on Android). If you change the clock face, sync your tracker to see the change.
