For the best experience, have your child connect Ace, Ace 2, or Ace 3 to their device. If your child doesn’t have one, you can connect their tracker to your device. Note that you can only connect the tracker to 1 device.

Connect Ace, Ace 2, or Ace 3 to a Fitbit child account. For more information, see How do I get started with Fitbit kids devices?
Children without a Fitbit device may use MobileTrack in the Fitbit app to track their steps. Note that you must create a child account in the app before setting up MobileTrack.

You can connect multiple trackers to your device. For instructions on how to sync multiple trackers, see How do I sync an Ace tracker with my phone or tablet?

Set up Ace devices with a family account. Family accounts allow you to control who your child connects with and see their daily stats. Child accounts don’t include:
- Weight measurement tracking
- Estimated calories burned
- Menstrual health tracking
- Access to the Fitbit community
- Other age-restricted features
To create a family account and connect Ace, see How do I set up Ace for my child?
When your child reaches the minimum age required in your country, they can upgrade to a standard account in the Fitbit app. The Fitbit data from their child account is automatically transferred to the new account, and they gain access to the features and stats unavailable in a child account. For more information on upgrading to a standard account, see How do I manage my Fitbit family account?

Syncing is the process that transfers the data the tracker collects to your child’s account in the Fitbit app. If the tracker is paired to your child’s device, it syncs every time your child opens the Fitbit app.
After your child syncs their tracker, log in to your Fitbit family account on your phone and switch to kid view to check their daily activity.
If you have more than 1 child account connected to the same device, you must sync each tracker individually. For instructions, see How do I sync an Ace tracker with my phone or tablet?

If your child or children don’t have their own device, you can sync their trackers with your device. Note that if you have multiple trackers connected to the same device, you must sync each tracker individually.
To begin, create a Fitbit child account for each child and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the trackers to your device. For instructions, see How do I set up Ace for my child?
After you connect the trackers, follow the steps below to sync each tracker:
- With the trackers nearby, log in to your Fitbit account.
- On the Today tab
, tap your profile picture.
- Tap My Family.
- Under your child’s name, tap Switch to Kid View.
- Tap your child's profile picture, and tap their device tile.
- Scroll down, and find the option to Sync Now.
- After the tracker syncs, return to the account screen.
- Scroll down and tap Switch to Parent View and enter your password.
- Repeat steps 2-7 to sync additional trackers.

To set up an account, you’re prompted to enter information such as your child’s height to help calculate their activity.
