How do I use iPASS with my Fitbit device?
Add a new iPASS card or your iPASS co-branded credit card to Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Charge 5, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Sense series, and Fitbit Versa series*. Make payments right from your device anywhere iPASS is supported.
*This feature isn't available on Fitbit Versa Lite Edition.
Note: This feature is available in the Fitbit app for iPhones, iPads, and Android phones.
For Fitbit devices that can use either Google Pay or Fitbit Pay for contactless payments, choose Fitbit Pay to use iPASS.

iPASS is a Taiwanese e-wallet that can be used in public transport and retail stores. To determine if iPASS can be used, look for the symbol below on the payment or transit terminal:
For more information on iPASS, see iPASS’s overview. For information on where iPASS can be used for transit and payments, see iPASS’s list of stores.

- In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab
your profile picture
your device image.
- Tap the Wallet tile.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set a 4-digit PIN code for your device if you haven’t already done so.
- Tap iPASS to add a virtual iPASS card to your device. Follow the on-screen instructions and add the card to your Fitbit Pay Wallet.
Note: iPASS is only listed as an option if your location is set to Taiwan. For more information, see Why isn’t iPASS listed as an option in the Fitbit app?

You can add up to 6 iPass cards to your Fitbit Pay Wallet, 1 of which can be a virtual iPass card; the others must be co-branded credit cards.
Only your default iPASS card will be shown on your Fitbit device. You can change your default card setting in the Fitbit app.

After adding a transit card to your Wallet, hold your wrist near the iPASS reader (within 6 centimeters) until you feel your Fitbit device vibrate. Note that you don't need to pull up the iPASS card art in the Payments screen or enter your PIN on your Fitbit device to pay with your iPASS card.

When you hold your wrist to the transit reader, it automatically pulls funds from your default iPASS card. To change your default card if you have more than one iPASS card:
- In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab
your profile picture
your device image.
- Tap the Wallet tile.
- Tap your default iPASS card in the Instant Access section.
- Tap the button next to the card you want to set as your default card.

After adding a virtual iPASS card to your Fitbit device, place your device on the ticket vending machine terminal. Follow the instructions on the machine to add value to your virtual card.
An iPASS co-branded credit card automatically reloads when you tap it to an iPASS reader and the card has insufficient funds.

For a list of participating iPASS co-branded credit cards, see fitbit.com/fitbit-pay/banks. We’re working to add more participating co-branded cards. If you don’t see your bank or card issuer listed, check back soon.

If your co-branded credit card is part of the Fitbit Pay iPASS program, follow the steps in What should I know about using my Fitbit device to make contactless payments? to add your card to your Fitbit Pay Wallet. If your bank requires additional verification, choose the SMS option to verify your card. After accepting the terms and conditions, your iPASS card is automatically added.

When you add your co-branded credit card to your Fitbit Pay Wallet, your bank may require additional verification. Choose the SMS option to verify your card and add your iPASS card. If you instead verified your card through customer support, contact your bank for further instructions.
If you still aren’t able to add your iPASS card, remove your co-branded credit card from your Fitbit Pay Wallet and try adding it again.

You don’t need to have your phone nearby to use any of the cards in your Fitbit Pay Wallet. After you set up your cards, you can make payments from your Fitbit device and leave your phone at home.

After you register your card, factory reset your device to erase all personal data. For instructions, see How do I erase my Fitbit device?
