What is the latest information regarding Force?
Because Fitbit received reports of skin irritation from a small percentage of Fitbit Force™ users, we have decided to stop sales of Force and conduct a voluntary recall.
What is causing the reported skin irritation?
Fitbit hired independent labs and medical experts to conduct a thorough investigation to identify the potential causes of skin irritation reported by a small percentage of Force users. Some users may be reacting to nickel in the stainless steel used in the device, even though the surgical grade material meets the most stringent regulatory standards. Other users are likely experiencing an allergic reaction to the materials in the strap or the adhesives used to assemble the product.
What should I do if I’m experiencing skin irritation?
If you see any signs of skin irritation, including redness, swelling, itchiness, or other irritation, you should discontinue using your Force. If symptoms persist, contact your doctor.
Can I return my Force for a refund?
Yes. You can return your Force for a full refund. To expedite your refund please complete this form
or call us at 888-656-6381 to request a return kit with prepaid shipping envelope. Once we receive your Force we will process your refund check. This offer is valid regardless of where the product was purchased.
Can I exchange my Force for a new product?
We don't offer an exchange program, but in October of 2014 all Force customers received an email with a 15% discount good towards any tracker in the Fitbit.com store. The coupon code expired on June 30, 2015.
