Get motivated by setting a daily goal and watching your progress throughout the day. When you reach your goal, your tracker will vibrate and then flash in celebration.

Surge, Charge HR, Charge and Force users can choose a goal from steps, floors, distance or calories burned. Flex users can choose a goal from steps, distance or calories burned.

Set or change a primary goal

You can also change your goal in the Fitbit apps for iOS, Android, and Windows, typically by opening the tracker tile and changing the main goal. To set or change your daily goal from your fitbit.com dashboard:

  1. Log in and click the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Choose Settings > Devices.
  3. Under Daily Goal Process, make your choice from the drop-down menu.

Change your goal's value

To change your goal's value in the Fitbit apps, you can typically do so on the Account page. On the fitbit.com dashboard, find the tile that corresponds to your goal and click the gear icon in the lower left corner of the tile. Once you sync your tracker to Fitbit, your new main goal will be set.

View your goal progress

On Fitbit trackers with screens, you'll see a progress bar letting you know how close you are to reaching your goal.

To see your goal progress on a Flex, tap your tracker twice with your finger. One or more LED indicator lights will turn on--each fully lit indicator represents 20% of your total goal. The blinking light shows the segment of the goal that you are working on.
